Topography:
Ugljan is the largest town on the island of the same name, which is situated opposite Zadra (regular trips across to Preko). On the island there are numerous pine forests, fig trees, vineyards and, above all, many olive trees (olive oil of special aroma and quality). The many fishing and holiday places in the nature bays offer bathing and excusions. The large underwater world is truly a challenge for divers and for fishermen. Ugljan, a traditional holiday resort, is situated on the north west side of the island.
