Topography:
The island of Hvar is the longest and with the mildests clima island of the Dalmatia with the largest number sun hours in Croatia. It is situated south of Brac Island and it is the island of aromatic hearbs, olive groves and wineyards. Hvar is famous for its healing herbs and lavanda field which cover most of the island. In the south there is a high rocks castline, in the north many lovely, deep sea bays with picturesque villages. The island offer also many monuments, fountains, gotic style palaces, domes and venetian loggia with watch tower. The car free old town has nice street lined with shops, cafes, small restaurants, delicatessen. From highest point there is a wonderful view of the old town and the bays.
