Biarritz is a well-known bathing resort, busy in all seasons. 25 km from the Spanish border, it offers a range of entertainment, sporting, cultural, artistic, folklore. The wide beach, the small colourful towns in the hinterland, the hiking trails and the magnificent view of the mountains enjoyed by the hikers. Anglet links the charm of the pine forest with the ocean and the town, a sport oriented town, it is the European surfers paradise. The two towns are joined together but are very individual. 18-hole golf courses, horseriding schools, tennis, swimming pools, patrolled beaches, boat hire, water skiing, river and sea fishing, casinos, nightclubs, thalassotherapy, museums, harbour.
