The holiday farm San Gervasio is surrounded by the first hills of the Era valley. It has a typial architecture of the 1700 Tuscany farm. It is set on 400 hectares of woodlands, vineyards and olive groves with numerous wild boars and phesants. The complex consists of sevaral apartments furnished in local style. Topography:
Old village with approx 5000 inhabitans. Its origins take place during the Etrurian period, as recently discovered. The fortress dominating the valley had a strategic position over the villages of central Tuscany. It is an ideal starting point for excursions to other well-known villages and towns like Montaione, Volterra, San Gimignano, Pisa, Lucca and Florence. Palaia stands out for its gastronomic specialities and for its young wines and very good olive oil.
