Topography:
Village located 100 km northeast of Prag, 60 km from Pardubice, 51 km from Dvur Kralove nad Labem, and 45 km from Hradec Kra love and 15 km from Lazne Belohrad (medicinal springs). Jicin is the gateway to the Nature Reserve Cesky raj, near the rocky outcrops and formations of the Prachovske skaly (rock-climbing). In the surrounding areas are many historical sites including the gothic fortresses Kost, and Valdstejn, Hruby Rohozec Castle and Hruba Skala Castle, and Sychrov among many.
