Spiral stairs not suitable for young children or elderly. Parking in the street outside the house. An area of the next door garden, with garden furniture and spectacular views of the sea, is reserved for exclusive use of guests. Non-smokers prefered.

Pittenweem is a pretty village situated approximately 16 km south of St Andrews: The Malthouse is an 18th century sandstone terraced house which was renovated in 1986 to provide comfortable holiday accommodation with nice view of the sea. It is situated in the little High Street in the centre of Pittenweem. Grocers, bakers, butcher and other shops within a minutes walk. Sea and rocky beach reached by pedestrian alleys approx 250 m, Golf course approx 1.5 km. 32 golf courses within a radius of approximately 40 km.>Special events: The Open Golf Championship at St Andrews 14 - 17 July 2005, Pittenween Arts Festival 5 - 14 August 2005.
