Topography:
Small village 15 km west of Pilsen, 109 km south west of Prag on the southern banks of Stausee Hracholusky, in which the water from the River Mze has been kept back since 1964. It's size is 470 hectars and it is 20 km in length. On the eastern end of the lake lies the ruins of the gothic mountain Buben. Stribro, small mountain town discovered above the river Mze in 1240 named after early deposits of zinc, lead and silver is just 13 km away. Kladruby with its benedictine abbey dating from the 12th Century is 18 km away, the German border 53 km.
