Namestovo is a town on the left banks of the lakes Oravska Prehrada (603 m above sea level, 35 m2) in the hunting area of Horni Orava, 30 km north-east of Dolny Kubin; on the bordern with Poland and at the foot of the Podbeskydska Vrchovina (1042 m above sea level). Rich of fish, is a paradise for fishing and water sport lovers (Saling, windsurfing, water ski, moterboats). Sightseeing within 30 km: Castle of Oravsky Podzamok, Dolny Kubin, Velicna, Tvrdosin, Oravice. Vratna Dolina 60 km.
