The city of Caunes Minervois, built around a Benedictine abbey, is the marble capital, red marble mined by the Romains and which adorns the most beautiful palaces. Minerois is also well known for its wines. To visit: the abbey, Cour Louis XIV, Church of St Pierre-St Paul, the Pont Romain, several caves. Numerous possibilities for rock climbing, hiking, horseriding and mountainbiking. All shops on site. Airport and SNCF station in Carcasoone, 20 km.
