Topography:
The island of Brac is situated in central Dalmatia. Very green, it is one of the most beautiful islands in the Croatian archipelago. The coast has numerous shingle, pebble and sandy inlets between cliffs. Abundant subtropical vegetation, mediterranean climate. The island is noted for its Brac white chalk rocks. Bol, the main area, has one of the most beautiful shingle beaches on the Adriatic coasts, Zlatni rat, which goes 700 m into the sea. Good boat links: Split-Supetar or Makarska-Sumartin. Povlja is located on the northeast side of the island, in a romantic bay, surrounded by hills.
