Sea and beach at Lyme (set of the film French Lieutenants woman) approx 6 km. Garden with garden furniture for shared use. Laundry (extra) and table tennis for shared use. Playing field. Parking. Heating (extra) but free from Oct-Mar.
Topography:
Peaceful, friendly market town situated in the valley of the River Axe in East Devon approx 8 km inland from the sea and beaches. Approx 40 km east of Exeter and 72 km from Plymouth. Weekly livestock market every Thursday, grocers, supermarkets, restaurants, pubs. Lots to see and do in the area: coastal footpaths, East Devon Way walking path, Seaton Tramway, adventure play park at Beer with miniature railway ride, Crealy Country Park, Bicton Park and Gardens, Beer Quarry Caves, Dinosaurland, gardens. This is also an ideal base from which to explore Devon, Dorset and Somerset.
