Topography:
The old town Hranice is situated 37 km east of Olomouc and approximately 10 km from Lipnich nad Becvou. Places to visit in the area include: the castle (16th - 17th centuary), Baroque church, ceramics museum, the old town hall dating from 1544. Good starting point for excursions to explore the area: the ruins of the fortress Helfenstein, the Kunzow castle, the caves and gorges in Teplice as well as the protected Karstruecken Hurka National Park.
