Zelezna Ruda with 1500 inhabitants is situated in Bohemia close to the German border. Ideal holiday resort in winter and summer. It has a lovely church of the 18th century. 3 km north of Zelezna Ruda there is the resort of Spicacke Sedlo (100 m) with many hiking possibilities: to the lakes Certovo jezero (1030 m) and Cerne jezero (1008 m), to the mount Pancer (1214 m) with chair lift or to mount Spicak (1202 m). Hejsova straz is 11 km away and Zadov-Churanov with nice cross country ski trail 20 km
