Whitstable is situated on the north Kent coast of Britain, 100 km from London, 39 km from Dover and 12 km from Canterbury. Here the Thames estuary broadens into the North sea and the town nestles alongside a sheltered bay formed between the Kent shoreline and the Isle of Sheppey. As a fishing port, Whitstable is famous for its oysters and appreciated by many for its quaint architecture and stunning sunsets. There are many shops, pubs, restaurants and, of course fish and chip shops.
