Apartment house Alpine Village Lauchernalp. For shared use: indoor pool (5 x 7 m), children's playground. In house: restaurant, sauna. Shops, sun terrace, washing machine, tumble dryer (for shared use, extra). Mountain railway, ski lift 200 m. The holiday resort comprises 80 apartments, spread out over various chalets with stunning views of the impressive Bietschhorn that stands 3.934 m above sea level. All apartments have a ski storage room next to the entrance of the house. In winter, access only via cable lift (not in service from May and November). In summer there is a special ticket at a cost of CHF 35/week, which can be be purchassed at the Wiler-Lauchernalp cable lift station, is the access possible by car till Lauchernalp (restricted parking). Ideal for children: Children's play centre (child minding only in season), as well as special children's meals in the restaurant. Included in the price: Cot/Baby bath, highchair (a breakage deposit is required).
Topography:
The Lauchernalp is situated north of Visp in the Loetschental, approx 6 km above the village of Wiler in a fantastic high Alpine landscape, imbedded in the huge glacier area of Finsteraarhornmassiv. Access in summer by car (approx 15 minutes drive from Wiler) on purchase of a special pass from the Fremdenverkehrsbuero situaterd close to the cable car in Wiler - approx cost is CHF 10 per week, or by cable car. Access in winter is only by cable car (road closed during winter) from Wiler. In the valley there are 4 typical Valais villages: Ferden, Kippel, Wiler and Blatten. The village Wiler which is about 6 km from the southern end of the Lötschberg tunnel is the place to pick up the cable car on the Lauchernalp. Large parking space for the guests at the cable railway. There are no shops in Lauchernalp - nearest shops in Wiler.
