Topography:
Bathing resort at the gulf of Salerno, 20 km west of Salerno, 5 km before Amalfi. Ideal starting point for excursions to the islands (Capri, Ischia etc.), and also to the mountainous hinterland. Maiori has a 1 km long, narrow sandy/shingle beach which is well kept and suitable for children.
