Topography:
Iz is one of the 18 inhabited islands of the Zadar archipielago and lies between the island of Ugljan and Dugi Otok. The island is about 12 km long and 2.6 km. With a myriad of bays for swimming in and crystal clear water which are surrounded by 10 other islands from the same archipielago. In contrast to the other islands, Iz is a green island, covered with olive trees in numbers exceeding 77000. Iz is the only island in Dalmatien in which the islanders are practicing potters.
