The residence Cala Bianca is situated on a lagoon by a large fine sandy beach 11 km south of Bastia in the town of Borgo-Plage. It includes 154 small terraced bungalows spread around a pine forest. Swimming games and sports, beach volleyball, boules, different tournaments... In season: daily sports and evening entertainment. The sports activities and extra services (bar, swimming pool...) are depend on the number of clients in low and mid season. Extra: tennis EUR 6/hour with racquet (2 courts). Nearby, extra: boat trips, walking, equestrian centre, diving, sailing and water sports school. Pets allowed EUR 10/week. Cot hire EUR 15/week. TV hire EUR 30/week (while stocks last). Deposit EUR 185, outside parking at the entrance of the residence or in front of the reception (according to availability, closed at 2000 hrs but not supervised). Residence, directly by the beach. For shared use: grounds 5 ha. Swimming pool (10 x 20 m, depth 100-200 cm, 28.05.-15.09.). In house: reception, bar. Sandy beach 50 m.
Topography:
Bastia is the commercial capital of Corsica, positioned between the sea and the mountains with an interesting history. Architectural points of interest include La Citadelle, the Genoese buildings, the former Geneose Governors' palce (now a museum), Ste Marie cathedral and the Old Port. Bastia is linked to the mainland by frequest ferry crossings to both France and Italy. Poretta, Corsica's international airport is situated 18 km south of Bastia.
