Port Gruissan lies in the Gulf of Lion, about 15 km from Narbonne (railway station). A modern complex has developed alongside the original fishing village, with a yachting harbour, ideal for fishing and water sports, particularly wind-surfing. The hinterland and the La Clape massif is particularly inviting to hikers and nature lovers. Long sandy beaches especially suitable for families with children, some allow nudist bathing.
