Topography:
The small village of Outines with 130 inhabitants is situated in the country-side between Vitry le Francois (26 km) and Montier en Der (15 km). The train station for the SNCF is located in Vitry le Francois. Sporting possibilities include jet-skiing, swimming, sailing and fishing on the Der-See (Lake Der). This lake is one of the largest in Europe, and boasts numerous beaches and a bathing area Giffaumont-Champaubert. Nature Reserve with VTT and walking trails. Excursions to Outines: La Maison de l'Oiseau and du Poisson The House of the Bird and the Fish, Le Haras National von Montier en Der (horse breeding stables), and the Tourist Route of Churches La Route Touristique des Eglises.
