Topography:
Town situated in the heart of the protected nature area of Cesky raj (Bohemian paradise), 12 km from Turnov, 86 km north west of Prague. The mountain ruins off Trosky dominate the area. On the same mountain ridge, divided by Hruba Skala castle, you will find the Valdstejn mountain. It is worth visiting the castles of Rohozec, Mnichovo, Hradiste, Sychrov, ruins of Frydstejn, Velecov, Parez, Bradlec. The gothic Kost mountain is 20 km away. Other natural attractions include rock built Certova ruka (Devils Hand), Arboretum Bukovina, Kozakov mountain with the gem stones were discovered, the rock towns and caves.
