On the west side there is the white bay of Komiza, to the south there is a row of little bays and Vis harbour is situated to the north. It is famous for its vineyards and especially for the red wine PLavac. The hilly island of Vis is also well known for the views over the open sea and the athmosphere in its villages. Best of all is the fishing village of Komiza. Komiza is situated in a deep bay of the west coast and it has pebble beaches, it is probably best known for its fishing industry.
